In search of an area low in Electromagnetic Radiation in BC

Staggeringly high levels of EMR on the Hope Princeton Highway and a strange pul;se pattern

Left Thursday, May 9 for the drive, Had lunch with friends in Maple Ridge, made it as far as Hope for an early stop for the day/ Started out from Hope at 7:30, the road was light traffic and sunny weather. After about 1/2 an hour of driving I noticed I was getting an “EMR Headache”.

Stopped and measured the intensity at several location. Each location no one else was around, vehicle off and no discernible other source of radiation. The maximum level of radiation was typically around 8,000 micrwatts/sqm with a highest of 60,000 but even stranger the results were flickering from 10 to the maximum every 0.5 sec. I would have expected the lowest readings to be around 500 and the occasional peak to 8-10,000. I have never seen this pattern before, that evening was the night of the big Northern Lights and I understand they also started playing with HAARP. Possible between them there is an explanation for the strange readings.

This pattern and levels of readings continued on until I turned onto off Highway 3 to 3A at Keromeos. By the time I reached Okanagan Falls on Highway 97 the levels had dropped to mostly under 100 microwatts.. Part of the reason the levels dropped so much is the The Dominion Radio Astrophysical Observatory is a few k away in the hills above Okanagan Falls at White Lake. The research done at the observatory is the same type as done at Green Bend in West Virginia. Much is said about the low radiation intensity around Green Bank. If one is looking for a low EMR area in BC this is the area. Unfortunately not much available for housing.. The areas does have the promise of remaining low in EMR. For the week I stayed at the provincial camp site near OK Falls where the readings were consistently below 10 microwatts.

On occasions I did travel to Oliver and Osoyoos. The levels in the towns and along the highway were often 2-300 + which is a bit better than I would expect along a provincial Highway radiated by numerous cell towers on the distant hills. The provincial campsite between Osoyoos and the US border was also less than 10.

Driving towards and of course in Penticton the levels were frequently exceeding 1000 although once one gets 2 or so K off the main Highways etc, the levels drop off to 10 or less.may have something to do with cherry trees and grapes don’t use or need Cell Phones and when one reaches the higher elevations it becomes cattle country and cows have no where to carry a phone or Ipad.

A small development near the observatory has a special bylaw limiting the levels of radiation until at least 2034. Land use bylaws in BC are being decimated by legislation of the last 2 years, I note the opposition parties have done little to slow the erosion of these bylaws, yes in 3 rd reading at the legislature they may vote against them. But the real place to see where they stand is after second reading when the bills are to receive a clause by clause debate in committee.

I am still at a loss to explain the strange readings I got on the highway Friday morning. Coming back on what is know as the Okanagan connector the levels were as I expected at around 500. For my electromagnetic hypersensitivity a stead exposure of above 500 is enough to trigger myt EMR headaches and other EHS symptoms.

Looks like in the near future I will need to make another trip to see if the levels on the highway were an anomaly or not.
